Human Error

Human error is a term used to describe the little mistakes we all make, often without realizing it, that can lead to unintended problems—especially in the world of cybersecurity. While technology has come a long way in keeping our information safe, people are often the most vulnerable link in the security chain. It’s important to remember that everyone makes mistakes and understanding this can help us all become more vigilant.

That's why I’ve crafted a unique experience to introduce Cybersecurity Awareness to the general public.

What is human error?

Human error can show up in several different ways including but not limited to:

  • Not updating security software in time (Phones, Laptops, Gaming Systems, Security Cameras)
  • Having weak, unsecure, common or shared passwords
  • Falling victim to phishing and social engineering attempts
  • Incomplete home security settings (home wi-fi, security cameras, baby monitors, and other smart devices)

Potential consequences of Human Error:

  • Data breaches and loss of sensitive information
  • Financial losses (fraud)
  • Reputational damage
  • Legal fees, expenses, and filing costs
  • Potential business closure or permanent reputational damage
  • Loss of employment
  • Increase in spam or unsolicited SMS messages
  • Identity theft
  • Compromised home devices
  • Leaked family information (where you work, where your kids go to school, etc.)

I know it seems like a lot, but you're not alone. Let us be your guide to help equip you with the tools you need to a secure world.

Which is why prevention is key:

To reduce the risk of human error is to enhance security, it is essential to educate society on cybersecurity best practices, provide regular training and awareness programs, provide access to resources and implement robust security measures to prevent breaches. By addressing human error, we can significantly reduce the likelihood of cyber-attacks, protect sensitive information, ourselves, our homes and those around us.
